Qualified, now part of Salesforce, is seeking a Software Engineering, SMTS - Qualified to join their high-ownership, high-velocity environment. The company is building at the frontier of AI + product, developing agentic software and embedding AI directly into their platform. Engineers have end-to-end ownership from idea to production, including scoping, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement. The Product Core team builds foundational product systems for prospect identification, meeting scheduling, data synchronization, workflow execution, and enterprise authentication, enabling customers and partners to extend the product through APIs and integrations. This role will also advance AI-assisted capabilities for meeting preparation, routing investigation, and product explainability.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex product initiatives from problem definition through technical design, implementation, launch, and ongoing ownership.
- Build reliable meeting-booking, calendaring, routing, and workflow experiences that impact customer conversion and revenue.
- Build and evolve integrations with CRM, marketing automation, sales engagement, collaboration, calendaring, and data-enrichment platforms.
- Build intuitive public APIs and reliable webhooks for customer and partner extensions.
- Design for the complexities of third-party systems, including API limits, OAuth credentials, inconsistent data, retries, synchronization, and partial failures.
- Advance AI-assisted capabilities such as meeting preparation, routing investigation, and explanations of product behavior.
- Improve the scalability, observability, security, and supportability of critical production systems.
- Own and resolve difficult customer issues by identifying their root causes.
- Raise the engineering bar through technical leadership, design and code reviews, and mentorship.
Requirements
- A track record of independently delivering complex SaaS capabilities from design through launch and ongoing operation.
- Strong full-stack skills, with depth in backend systems, APIs, relational data models, and background processing.
- Experience building or operating integrations with complex third-party platforms.
- Sound technical judgment regarding reliability, data integrity, security, and incremental system evolution.
- Excellent debugging skills across application, integration, and data boundaries.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, influencing architecture and execution beyond immediate workstreams.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving clarity by framing problems, proposing solutions, and aligning others.
- Product-mindedness, with a focus on UX and customer outcomes.
- Experience with modern web frameworks (Rails/React/Postgres/AWS is a plus).
