About the job

Salesforce is seeking a Software Engineering MTS to join the Component Accessibility Team (CAT). This team is revolutionizing accessibility in software by building AI tools that empower developers to create accessible code effortlessly. The goal is to shift accessibility "left," making it an integrated part of the development process rather than a manual, reactive audit. You will contribute to an AI agent that provides developers with knowledge, fix tools, and evaluation systems to ensure WCAG compliance before code reaches production. This role is crucial for improving business outcomes, winning deals, and mitigating legal risks associated with inaccessibility, while also serving the global community of people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Build and evaluate AI-powered tools for accessibility, including fix tools and agent skills for generating, validating, and repairing accessible code.
  • Design and expand evaluation datasets and reviewer sets to rigorously prove the correctness of AI suggestions against WCAG criteria.
  • Treat evaluation as a primary deliverable, ensuring all AI capabilities meet a measured and defensible quality bar before release.
  • Encode WCAG success criteria and internal Salesforce standards into the agent's knowledge base to ensure accurate suggestions.
  • Expand per-criterion coverage and grow the reviewer set to bridge the gap between detection and fixing of accessibility issues.
  • Package and integrate AI tools into developer workflows and surfaces like AI Suite, DX MCP, Cursor, and Claude Code to drive adoption.
  • Remove friction in the development process to make accessibility an automatic outcome rather than a manual task.

Requirements

  • Experience building and evaluating AI-powered tools.
  • Proficiency in developing fix tools and agent skills for code generation, validation, and repair.
  • Experience in designing and expanding evaluation datasets and reviewer sets.
  • Ability to encode accessibility standards (WCAG, internal standards) into AI knowledge bases.
  • Experience packaging and integrating tools into developer workflows.
  • Familiarity with Aura and LWC frameworks.
  • Understanding of accessibility best practices and WCAG criteria.
