Salesforce is seeking a highly accomplished technologist to join their Forward Deployed Engineering Team as an Expert Agent Builder. This role is at the pinnacle of AI technical expertise, focusing on architecting, designing, and building complex agentic systems to solve challenging customer problems. The successful candidate will translate ambiguous customer needs into concrete, executable AI solutions, driving transformative AI solutions by tackling the technical frontier of intelligent automation. This involves building first-of-their-kind, best-in-class experiences for major brands, including headless agent automations, dynamic AI-driven custom user interfaces, and complex multi-agent solutions. The role demands unparalleled software development mastery, deep software architecture skills, and a relentless focus on implementing engineering best practices to deliver maximum tangible value in dynamic, real-world enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and develop complex agentic AI solutions integrating with enterprise systems.
- Implement and deploy complex agent-based solutions using LLMs and agent-building frameworks.
- Define, improve, and enforce engineering best practices for code quality, scalability, and security.
- Perform advanced configuration and customization of the Salesforce platform for agentic solutions.
- Design data models and build efficient processing pipelines for AI applications.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical challenges in solution delivery.
- Lead the development of custom intelligent agents and influence future product enhancements.
- Maintain expertise in the latest AI advancements and integrate new knowledge for innovation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in end-to-end delivery of high-quality, scalable production solutions.
- Strong background in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
- Expert-level proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Apex, JavaScript, Python).
- Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and databases.
- Experience building applications with modern web component frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, LWC).
- Extensive hands-on experience building and deploying solutions with AI/LLM technologies.
- Experience integrating LLMs and applying advanced AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).
- Experience developing custom agentic frameworks and systems.
- Deep understanding of machine learning and natural language processing.
- Expertise in prompt engineering, advanced RAG strategies, and defining/automating evaluation frameworks for LLM outputs and agentic workflows.
- Deep expertise in data modeling, processing, integration, and analytics.
- Proficiency in enterprise data platforms (e.g., Salesforce Data Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery).
- Proven experience in automated testing, including unit and functional testing.
- Ability to develop test strategies and design automation frameworks.
