Rovi is an AI-powered care concierge and virtual clinic for employer health plans, aiming to reduce healthcare costs and improve outcomes by identifying and redirecting expensive care before it's scheduled. The company leverages real-time clinical data and AI-native capabilities to treat and navigate care, significantly cutting outpatient spend. As a founding engineer, you will own entire product surfaces end-to-end, from understanding customer problems and architecting solutions to writing code, shipping, and measuring impact. You will have full authority over your areas and direct access to the founders, playing a crucial role in shaping the company's direction and engineering culture.
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture of the platform, including the event-driven agent framework, shared memory, tool orchestration, and APIs.
- Build systems for early intervention by leveraging claims data, clinical records, and patient interactions to prevent costly procedures and ER visits.
- Design and improve the technical systems for the virtual clinic, enabling AI-driven intake and triage, and allowing human clinicians to handle increased volume.
- Make architectural decisions to ensure the platform can scale to orders of magnitude more members while maintaining real-time responsiveness.
- Collaborate with customers to understand problems, define solutions, and drive product development.
- Write and ship code for new features and systems.
- Measure the impact of shipped features and iterate based on results.
Requirements
- 3-7+ years of software development experience.
- Deep expertise in Python, React, and TypeScript.
- Proven experience owning products end-to-end, from user interaction to shipping and measurement.
- Experience building and running production systems with significant stakes.
- Experience shipping AI/ML in production, including agent systems, LLM orchestration, and data-heavy pipelines.
- Preference for ownership and ambiguity over well-defined tasks.
- Systems thinking and execution speed are highly valued.
