About the job
Rogo is transforming global finance with AI, empowering professionals at top investment firms with unparalleled speed, accuracy, and insight. We are a rapidly growing company with proven product-market fit, backed by world-class investors, and are scaling quickly to define a new category of enterprise AI. Our team is sharp, motivated, and deeply committed to our mission, taking ownership of complex problems and focusing relentlessly on our users. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, demand excellence, and want to help build the future of finance, we invite you to join us.
Responsibilities
- Own internal systems end-to-end, transforming operational problems into production services from conception to deployment, including routing, approvals, notifications, reporting, provisioning, and workflows.
- Build the internal data layer by integrating heterogeneous systems of record into a coherent, reliable, and queryable picture of every account and customer interaction.
- Ship agents that run unattended, designing workflows for real work like research, enrichment, drafting, summarization, data entry, and systems hygiene, with necessary evals, guardrails, and monitoring.
- Automate the customer lifecycle by building provisioning, onboarding, and account setup systems to prevent bottlenecks as the enterprise customer base grows.
- Build automations powered by the same AI techniques and infrastructure used across the product, acting as a demanding internal user of Rogo's technology.
- Handle company and customer data with care, building secure, compliant integrations that adhere to the highest standards of trust, privacy, and reliability.
- Measure impact by instrumenting shipped features and holding them to real numbers, including hours returned, error rates, and cycle time, and retiring underperforming components.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping and operating production backend systems end-to-end.
- Strong TypeScript for backend services and APIs; working proficiency in Java/Python or another second language is a plus.
- Hands-on experience deploying and running production services on GCP or an equivalent cloud stack.
- Strong command of relational databases and SQL, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Demonstrated experience building on LLMs in production, including prompting, tool/function calling, retrieval, agent workflows, and associated evaluation and guardrails.
- Fluency integrating third-party APIs, including REST, webhooks, authentication, rate limits, pagination, and data reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of asynchronous patterns (queuing, background jobs, scheduling, retries, idempotency) and robust observability (logging, metrics, tracing).
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders, translate their workflows into requirements, and ship against them autonomously.
- Track record of shipping high-quality software in unstructured, fast-moving environments with full autonomy from conception to deployment.
- Demonstrated passion for AI agents and automation through built systems.
- Interest in corporate finance and capital markets is a strong plus.
Benefits

- Enormous upside potential.
- Work with an extraordinary team of sharp individuals in AI and finance.
- Opportunity to work on ambitious, technically demanding, and consequential problems at scale.
- Real ownership of surface area with sophisticated users relying on your work.
- Work at the frontier of AI technology.
