Rogo is transforming global finance with AI, empowering professionals at top investment firms with unparalleled speed, accuracy, and insight. We are redefining financial workflows and are seeking a Data Engineer to own and scale our Analytics infrastructure. This is a hands-on, high-leverage role where you will build and maintain critical data pipelines, orchestration, and ensure reliability. As an AI-native organization, this role also has a product dimension, as the systems you build will measure and support the development of our AI-powered product. You will be expected to develop a deep understanding of the product and contribute to its improvement.
Responsibilities
- Own analytics infrastructure, including ETL pipelines, Snowflake, dbt models, and orchestration.
- Design and run the evaluation and testing layer for agentic analytics surfaces.
- Own core KPI definitions, their production pipelines, and documentation.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Rogo product.
- Partner with engineering and product to turn analytics infrastructure into customer-facing features.
- Take ownership of a specific domain of analytics work to deepen team expertise.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related role.
- Proven track record of owning production data systems.
- Deep SQL proficiency.
- Fluency in a modern cloud data warehouse, preferably Snowflake.
- Hands-on dbt experience (models, tests, macros, incremental strategies).
- Strong Python skills for pipeline and transformation work.
- Comfort with orchestration and modern ETL tooling.
- Experience managing high-volume data refresh cadences (partitioning, incremental models, storage tiering).
- Genuine fluency with AI products and understanding of the AI question-answering process.
- Curiosity about the business and ownership of metric meaning.
- Comfort operating autonomously across multiple stakeholders and domains.
