This position demands a blend of strategic vision and execution capability, with the ability to innovate and adapt traditional communication approaches to Replit's unique position in a competitive landscape.
Responsibilities
- Lead and scale Replit’s communications function, including strategy, team structure, agency management, and execution standards.
- Develop and evolve Replit’s corporate narrative across AI, developer tools, enterprise, consumer, education, and global markets.
- Lead communications programs for company announcements, product launches, enterprise momentum, customer stories, partnerships, policy issues, executive visibility, awards, events, and thought leadership.
- Shape market understanding of Replit as an agentic software creation platform enabling natural language to application development.
- Build clear, credible narratives around AI-powered software creation, developer productivity, enterprise adoption, security, governance, education, and the future of work.
- Partner with the CEO, executive team, and functional leaders on positioning, reputation, media strategy, internal communications, and high-stakes company moments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with technology, business, AI, enterprise, developer, policy, and international media.
- Partner with product, engineering, marketing, sales, partnerships, legal, policy, people, and finance to create coordinated communications programs.
- Lead or support internal communications, including company meetings, leadership messaging, employee announcements, and change communications.
- Manage proactive and reactive communications, including rapid response, issues management, crisis communications, and sensitive topics.
- Prepare executives and spokespeople for media interviews, podcasts, conferences, customer events, internal moments, and industry presentations.
- Support Replit’s global communications strategy, focusing on expanding awareness in Europe and Asia.
- Track the AI, software, developer, enterprise, startup, and policy landscape to identify opportunities for Replit to lead, respond, or reframe conversations.
- Build a communications culture that values speed, clarity, creativity, judgment, and proof.
Requirements
