Replit is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of Replit Agent, a groundbreaking AI coding agent that empowers anyone to build applications using natural language. As a technical leader within the Replit Cloud organization, you will be instrumental in building and scaling Replit's first-party cloud infrastructure, which supports millions of users worldwide. This role involves taking new products from conception to launch, iterating on core cloud services, and solving complex technical challenges to enhance user experience and product differentiation. You will collaborate closely with product and design teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to the full-stack development of Replit's platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead major projects, from new product development to enhancing existing cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to iterate and improve the Replit Cloud product.
- Identify and solve complex technical and quality challenges.
- Mentor and develop senior engineers.
- Ship product and build infrastructure as a full-stack developer.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent real-world experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- At least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
- Experience building user-facing platform-as-a-service products.
- Experience with AI/agentic systems.
- Previous experience at a high-growth startup.
