Responsibilities

• Shape the end-to-end user experience for building and publishing native mobile applications.
• Build innovative new features and interactions for the mobile app.
• Enable users to create software for their phones using the Replit mobile app.
• Assist with mobile UI/UX development.
• Collaborate closely with designers, mobile, and UX engineers to streamline the mobile app towards AI-first creation.
• Introduce new features that make creation on mobile easier and faster.
• Improve the quality and observability of the app.
• Proactively identify user needs for building on mobile.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience optimizing UI rendering performance.
• Experience debugging and deploying iOS or Android apps.
• Comfortable or excited to build with React/CSS and React Native.
• Familiarity with UI/UX patterns on iOS or Android.
• Proven track record of shipping mobile apps (for React Native Expert profile).
• Deep experience with mobile web development and understanding of mobile interfaces, performance optimization, and responsive design (for Mobile Web Specialist profile).
• Skilled mobile native developer (iOS/Android) interested in exploring React Native (for Native Developer Exploring Cross-Platform profile).
• Open to learning TypeScript-based development (for Native Developer Exploring Cross-Platform profile).
