About the job

Join our Enterprise Platform team and build the infrastructure foundations that enable the world's largest organizations to run Replit within their security and compliance boundaries. As a Software Engineer on this team, you'll design and implement the deployment flexibility, networking capabilities, authorization systems, and data controls that enterprises require, from single-tenant architectures and private connectivity to custom policy enforcement and customer-managed encryption. Responsibilities

  • Build private networking capabilities like VPC peering and static IP configurations.
  • Develop authorization infrastructure for custom enterprise policies and fine-grained access controls.
  • Implement data protection features including BYOK encryption and data residency controls.
  • Write Terraform modules and automation for reliable enterprise deployments.
  • Debug and harden complex infrastructure systems spanning networking, authorization, Kubernetes, and cloud services.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to understand and scope enterprise infrastructure requirements.
  • Contribute to technical strategy, including build-vs-buy decisions and defining reliability SLAs/SLOs.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, or similar roles.
  • Strong programming skills in Go, Typescript, or Python with a focus on high-quality, well-tested code.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies in production.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, peering, private connectivity, load balancers, DNS).
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and configuration management.
  • Familiarity with authentication and authorization systems (OAuth/OIDC, RBAC/ABAC, policy enforcement).
  • Familiarity with security and encryption fundamentals (TLS, encryption at rest, key management).
  • Strong debugging skills for tracing issues across distributed systems.
  • Excellent written communication skills for explaining technical tradeoffs to diverse audiences.
