Join our Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) team and collaborate directly with major organizations to transform their ambitious ideas into production applications on Replit. In this deeply technical and hands-on role, you will partner closely with customers to understand their needs, architect solutions, and build the necessary integrations and applications to deploy Replit successfully within complex enterprise environments. You will take applications from initial concept through production, navigating enterprise challenges and solving technical issues at the intersection of AI-powered software development and real-world infrastructure, data, security, and organizational constraints.
Responsibilities
- Embed with strategic enterprise customers to design and build high-impact applications and AI-powered workflows on Replit, from concept to production deployment.
- Design secure, scalable architectures connecting Replit with customer systems, data, APIs, identity providers, and infrastructure.
- Integrate software with customer stacks including SSO, data warehouses, internal APIs, and SaaS systems.
- Serve as the technical owner for complex enterprise implementations, identifying blockers, debugging issues, and driving projects to successful production adoption.
- Translate field insights, technical constraints, and customer needs into actionable feedback for product and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality experiences.
- Ship quickly and iterate based on customer feedback and usage data.
- Develop templates, playbooks, and product requirements from observed field patterns, and contribute these back to the platform.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience building and deploying production software.
- Strong programming skills and ability to work across unfamiliar codebases, APIs, and technical environments.
- Hands-on experience with LLM applications in production, including retrieval, tool calls, and evals.
- Experience designing and owning complex technical systems from architecture through production.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and independently drive technical projects.
- Strong technical communication skills and experience working directly with customers, partners, or cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to translate business requirements and customer problems into pragmatic technical solutions.
