Replit is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the team responsible for building the foundational infrastructure for Replit Enterprise. This role will focus on enabling deployment flexibility, robust networking capabilities, and essential data controls required by large organizations. The manager will own the roadmap for key enterprise infrastructure features such as single-tenant deployments, private networking, data residency, and customer-managed encryption, collaborating closely with Platform & Infrastructure Engineering, Security, and Sales teams to drive adoption among demanding enterprise clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead the roadmap for enterprise infrastructure foundations including single-tenant deployments, private networking, static IP configurations, and regional data residency.
- Design and implement advanced data protection features like bring-your-own-key (BYOK) encryption, customer-managed keys, and enhanced data isolation.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to understand enterprise infrastructure needs and translate field feedback into product roadmap.
- Hire, coach, and retain infrastructure engineers, fostering a culture of high ownership, code quality, and effective on-call practices.
- Define SLAs/SLOs for enterprise infrastructure reliability, evaluate build-vs-buy decisions, and ensure platform meets evolving enterprise security and compliance needs.
Requirements
- 6-10+ years in engineering, with at least 3 years managing teams building cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or enterprise SaaS at scale.
- Demonstrated experience shipping production systems involving VPCs, private connectivity, multi-tenant isolation, or dedicated/single-tenant architectures.
- Strong technical leadership in infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), networking, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with enterprise security and compliance requirements, including encryption, key management, and data residency.
- Proven ability to partner with Security, Sales, and Support to deliver infrastructure capabilities.
- Excellent hiring, coaching, and performance management skills, with strong written and asynchronous communication abilities.
