Reflection is a research lab dedicated to making intelligence open and accessible for everyone. We build open-weight AI systems that serve as a foundational intelligence layer for researchers, developers, and enterprises. This role is crucial for building and owning Reflection's presence within the key communities of researchers and developers, who are our earliest adopters and a core distribution channel for frontier AI. We are seeking an individual with a deep understanding of these communities, a clear vision for engagement, and the ability to authentically represent Reflection as a passionate participant in the AI ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate Reflection's presence within developer and research communities by fostering trusted relationships.
- Represent Reflection externally by creating demos, tutorials, and contributing to the open-source ecosystem.
- Build Reflection's presence in technical discourse spaces like industry events, X, YouTube, and Hugging Face.
- Identify and engage key contributors and builders working with open models to foster collaboration.
- Build and manage ambassador and developer programs from strategy to relationship management.
- Develop community content and channel strategies, including tutorials, discussions, and technical explainers.
- Build and manage university and researcher partnership programs.
- Organize and run hackathons, meetups, and webinars for developers and researchers.
- Partner with Communications, Product, Research, and Go-To-Market teams on strategy and content.
- Build operational infrastructure for external community programming, including timelines and logistics.
- Channel community feedback back to the team to inform product development and communication strategies.
Requirements
- Deeply embedded in the developer and research community, staying current with conversations, trends, and events.
- Experience running community programs, developer relations, or technical marketing at an AI company, open-source project, or developer-focused technology company.
- Operational rigor and attention to detail for managing an events calendar and programs portfolio.
- Technical writing skills to produce content that resonates within technical communities.
- A personal brand or meaningful community presence in the AI, ML, or developer ecosystem is a significant advantage.
