Reflection is a research lab dedicated to making intelligence open and accessible. We build open models that empower individuals to control their intelligence and shape the future of AI. In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing AI innovation by focusing on data, which is critical for developing capabilities like agentic tool use, long-horizon reasoning, and robust safety alignment. You will collaborate with world-class researchers to design and implement our data strategy, directly influencing the performance of our AI models.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the company's research, product, and business roadmap.
- Translate research needs into data requirements and design sourcing strategies and pipelines.
- Own new initiatives and partnerships end-to-end, including evaluating suppliers, negotiating agreements, and verifying deliverables.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to enhance research velocity while maintaining data quality.
- Build knowledge of the data ecosystem to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Understand the technical aspects of high-quality training data and ensure its reliable delivery.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in business operations, strategy, venture capital, private equity, or consulting.
- Proven ability to own large, ambiguous problems end-to-end and break them down into actionable plans.
- Comfort engaging senior leaders, influencing decisions, and driving cross-team alignment.
- Ability to thrive in fast-moving, high-pressure environments with resourcefulness and adaptability.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify important questions, conduct rigorous investigations, and communicate insights clearly.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, Excel, or similar.
- Genuine curiosity about LLM training and a deep care for the impact of AI on business, research, and society.
