Anthropic is building reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems to be safe and beneficial for users and society. As a Product Manager focused on Developer Productivity, you will partner with Infrastructure, Inference, Research, and Product Engineering teams to develop the systems that enable thousands of engineers and researchers to build, test, and ship code. Your work will directly impact engineering velocity by defining abstractions for code development, establishing metrics to identify friction, and making trade-offs to ensure a rapidly scaling organization ships with confidence. You will drive the evolution of our developer platform as AI agents become autonomous collaborators, redefining developer productivity in an AI-native world.
Responsibilities
- Understand the needs of internal customers across Research, Inference, Infrastructure, and Product.
- Define and iterate on the developer experience model, including workflows, tooling, and feedback loops for human-AI code collaboration.
- Partner with engineering leads to design scalable build, CI, and test infrastructure.
- Drive product strategy and roadmap for developer acceleration, including AI-assisted code review, agent-driven test generation, and autonomous system governance.
- Own the trade-off framework between velocity, reliability, security, and cost for human versus agent workflows.
- Establish and champion productivity metrics relevant to AI-native engineering organizations.
- Build conviction about the future of developer tooling and translate it into a roadmap for AI-assisted development.
Requirements
- 7+ years of product management experience with deep exposure to developer tooling, build systems, CI/CD, or platform infrastructure.
- Experience taking technical platform products from inception to scale, serving demanding engineering customers.
- Track record of building platform products that balance the needs of multiple engineering personas.
- Ability to understand complex technical systems and translate them into a comprehensive product vision.
- Credibility in discussing technical systems, developer economics, and AI-agent governance with various stakeholders.
- A strong thesis on how AI will reshape software development and excitement for defining the tooling for this future.
- Scrappiness and resourcefulness to achieve goals in a fast-moving environment.
