Scale AI is seeking a technical Product Manager to lead the evolution of the Public Sector Data Engine. This role is focused on building tools to measure and improve computer vision and generative AI models critical for national security systems. You will architect the vision for ML Ops tooling, creating a foundational engine for data management, curation, model development, and evaluation. This hybrid role requires a PM who understands both the strategic 'why' and the technical 'how,' bridging the gap between data labeling and full-stack AI partnership.
Responsibilities
- Architect the AI Engine and drive the roadmap for Public Sector ML Ops tools.
- Ensure ML Ops tools serve as the foundation for building, evaluating, and deploying AI systems.
- Support diverse customer profiles, from large-scale labeling to complex ML Ops partnerships.
- Own technical scoping by partnering with Engineering on infrastructure, APIs, and model evaluation frameworks.
- Operationalize collaboration among Engineering, Operations, and Government stakeholders.
Requirements
- Background in Software Engineering, Field Engineering, or Vision Systems.
- Ability to read code and understand system architecture.
- Experience in Computer Vision or ML Ops, understanding the model lifecycle.
- Possess a 'whatever-it-takes' drive and ability to deliver in high-pressure environments.
- Demonstrated ability to decompose challenging problems, create action plans, and drive results.
- Willingness to obtain a security clearance if not already active.
