About the job
We are seeking a Product Manager to own the strategy and execution for our technical products and platforms. This role involves understanding the needs of internal teams and external customers, identifying high-impact problems, and developing solutions that reduce duplicated work and improve efficiency. You will work closely with product, engineering, and operational teams to define platform investments, prioritize initiatives, and drive delivery from problem definition through launch and iteration. A key aspect of this role is making clear tradeoffs between near-term delivery and long-term flexibility, and connecting success metrics to customer and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Understand user needs and identify high-impact problems using data and feedback.
- Develop shared services, tools, and workflows to reduce duplicated effort.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to understand workflows and anticipate future needs.
- Prioritize platform investments across new product enablement, reliability, efficiency, and technical debt.
- Define and track success metrics tied to business impact, reliability, and cost.
- Partner with engineering on technical tradeoffs, build-versus-buy decisions, and rollout plans.
- Write clear requirements and drive product delivery from conception to launch and iteration.
Requirements
- Experience owning product strategy and execution for technical products, platforms, or shared systems.
- Strong technical fluency, including reasoning about APIs, data flows, system dependencies, and failure modes.
- Strong analytical skills to investigate problems, define metrics, and evaluate investment impact.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to align teams and make difficult decisions.
- High ownership and sound judgment in a fast-moving environment.
- Focus on customer outcomes and product quality, including for internal teams.
- Experience wrangling complex problems and messy workflows.
- Experience working on platforms with multiple stakeholders and non-trivial tradeoffs.
- Ability to build AI products requiring evaluation, safeguards, and human-in-the-loop design.
- Experience defining metrics in ambiguous situations using quantitative and qualitative evidence.
- Experience working on critical software such as support platforms, legal tooling, identity, billing, or trust and safety.
