About the job
We are seeking an AI-Driven 4G PHY SW Tech Lead to spearhead the architecture, implementation, and real-time optimization of the LTE Layer 1 (PHY) software stack. In this role, you will serve as a technical authority, collaborating across MAC, System, Integration, QA, and Product Management to deliver carrier-grade Open RAN solutions. A key aspect of this position involves advancing our application of AI and agentic software development within a large, high-performance codebase to accelerate design, debugging, and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and evolution of the LTE Layer 1 (PHY) software stack.
- Drive PHY features end-to-end, including architecture, implementation, optimization, testing, and production support.
- Optimize performance, debug issues, and perform root cause analysis for carrier-grade real-time reliability.
- Shape the software architecture and technical roadmap for the Open RAN platform.
- Mentor engineers, establish engineering best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Apply agentic software development and LLM-based workflows, and evaluate emerging tools.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Software Engineer on complex software projects.
- Strong knowledge of wireless physical layer (PHY), preferably 4G/5G or other OFDM-based technologies.
- Hands-on experience with agentic software development and LLM-based workflows, with a foundational understanding of AI and RAG.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and multi-threaded development for real-time embedded systems on Linux.
- Solid DSP fundamentals and a proven track record of optimizing for latency, CPU, and memory.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in complex embedded and distributed systems.
- Fluent with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.
- Excellent communication skills for mentoring engineers and guiding technical decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
