Palantir builds applications that help customers organize, understand, and make decisions based on their data. These applications often need to work together seamlessly, requiring robust client-side frameworks that enable direct interaction between them. The frontend frameworks developed by this team integrate deeply with the Palantir Ontology for real-time data synchronization and also support custom behaviors exposed across the platform, even to AI agents. This role involves end-to-end ownership of these cross-application frameworks, focusing on both low-level technical implementation and high-level user experience decisions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cross-application frontend frameworks.
- Implement real-time communication between applications using core web APIs like Broadcast Channels and Service Workers.
- Develop an Electron application to enhance cross-application workflows using Electron-specific capabilities.
- Design ergonomic and portable APIs for seamless integration into various applications.
- Collaborate with teams across the company to understand different codebases and architectural patterns.
- Focus on user experience to ensure interactions feel native and intuitive.
- Codify new cross-app behaviors in an idiomatic and extensible way.
Requirements
- 2+ years of frontend software engineering experience.
- Strong frontend coding skills, including proficiency in JavaScript.
- Understanding of how web technologies work.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent understanding of algorithms, performance, and systems design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance.
