OpenAI is seeking a Product Manager to lead the product strategy for sensitive deployments, focusing on contexts with high operating bars due to model capability, customer settings, privacy constraints, and misuse potential. This includes government, high-stakes, regulated enterprise, zero data retention, and agentic workflow environments. The role involves building reusable integrity capabilities for agentic detection and enforcement in these sensitive areas, with a focus on high-consequence use cases and broader deployment-readiness for high-risk domains like healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for sensitive deployment integrity controls and readiness criteria.
- Define metrics for residual risk, decision quality, review quality, and mitigation effectiveness.
- Develop agentic investigation and context-assembly workflows for complex, multi-step misuse patterns.
- Collaborate with Policy, Legal, Privacy, Safety Systems, User Operations, Government, and product teams to build shared capabilities.
- Create launch and deployment playbooks for sensitive customer, capability, and product contexts.
Requirements
- Shipped complex product systems in AI, integrity, trust and safety, security, privacy, risk, government, regulated enterprise, or AI safety.
- Ability to translate ambiguous policy and threat-model questions into product requirements, metrics, operational workflows, and tradeoff frameworks.
- Enthusiasm for agentic AI products and building safer deployment platforms.
- Commitment to security, privacy, and responsible deployment while building concrete product systems.
