You will collaborate closely with Benefits, People Operations, Payroll, Finance, and Engineering to translate complex requirements into reliable systems and user-friendly employee experiences. The position also involves identifying opportunities for automation, AI, and custom tools to enhance operational efficiency and employee support within the People Technology team.

Responsibilities

  • Own Workday configuration and improvements for Absence, Time Tracking, and Benefits, including interdependencies.
  • Design and maintain absence plans, accruals, leave processes, time entry rules, and approvals for a global workforce.
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate data flow and troubleshoot issues.
  • Independently manage US and international benefits configuration, including enrollment, eligibility, and life events.
  • Lead open enrollment systems readiness, including configuration, testing, launch, and support.
  • Manage Absence, Time Tracking, and Benefits systems for new countries, policy changes, and evolving employee needs.
  • Own projects from discovery through release, documentation, and post-launch performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers to improve integrations and build automation or AI-assisted workflows.
  • Maintain system security, data quality, reporting, and change controls, resolving production issues.
  • Create documentation and training for system users.

Requirements

  • Deep, hands-on Workday expertise in Absence and Time Tracking, including configuration, testing, and support of connected workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience independently owning Workday Benefits configuration for US and international programs.
  • Understanding of time, absence, and benefits data flow into payroll and downstream systems, with troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience translating complex policies and business requirements into maintainable system designs, including country-specific configurations.
  • Strong Workday technical skills (business processes, calculated fields, reporting, security, data loads) and integration troubleshooting.
  • Proven ownership of systems through implementation and ongoing operations, with a record of improving reliability and user experience.
  • Good product judgment, including asking clarifying questions, understanding underlying problems, and prioritizing effectively.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work across People, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and Engineering teams.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity, balancing operational needs with long-term improvements, and attention to detail.
