OpenAI's Enterprise Expansions team is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to help organizations integrate ChatGPT into their daily work. This role focuses on building solutions that enable users to discover and effectively utilize AI capabilities, moving them from initial interaction to confident adoption. You will own projects from concept to production, shaping user experiences and developing the necessary backend services. The ideal candidate possesses strong frontend skills, product intuition, and a keen eye for UX and design, with a passion for creating simple, polished experiences from ambiguous user problems.
Responsibilities
- Build personalized onboarding and product education to help first-time ChatGPT users adopt agentic workflows.
- Create discovery experiences for knowledge workers to easily find and use relevant skills, plugins, capabilities, and organizational context.
- Shape product flows and implement polished interfaces with attention to interaction details, accessibility, and responsiveness.
- Own the frontend and backend of product features, including services, APIs, and data flows.
- Design and run product experiments, measure adoption, and use results to improve user onboarding and habit formation.
- Learn from customers to identify work agents can handle and translate insights into prototypes and production features.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping user-facing products.
- Strong frontend engineering skills with experience in modern web application frameworks.
- Strong UX and design taste, demonstrated through intuitive product flows and thoughtful interaction design.
- Experience building backend services, APIs, and data models, with the ability to work across the full stack.
- Proven track record of owning features from problem definition through implementation, launch, and iteration.
- Strong product judgment, using customer feedback and data to guide development.
- Sound engineering fundamentals with a practical approach to testing, performance, accessibility, reliability, and maintainability.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, and engineers.
- Deep experience in growth engineering, activation, onboarding, or product experimentation is a strong plus.
