The ChatGPT Learning team is focused on building the next generation of learning experiences within ChatGPT, aiming to evolve the platform into a tool that helps users learn, grow, and make progress over time. This role involves designing and building new product experiences that enable millions of people to learn with ChatGPT, working across the full stack from user interfaces to backend services. You will collaborate closely with researchers and platform teams to integrate cutting-edge AI capabilities into user-facing products, translating AI advancements into everyday learning tools. We are seeking engineers who excel at creating polished product experiences, take ownership, and thrive on solving complex problems at the intersection of AI research and consumer software.
Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end product experiences for learning with ChatGPT.
- Design and implement multimodal capabilities involving text, images, voice, and interactive interfaces.
- Develop scalable backend services and APIs for learning features.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, researchers, and engineers to prototype and ship new ideas.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and usability of learning experiences.
- Iterate on features using experimentation and user feedback.
Requirements
- Experience building high-quality consumer product experiences across the full stack.
- Comfortable owning features from concept to production.
- Experience with modern web technologies like React and TypeScript.
- Experience with backend services in Python, Node.js, or similar.
- Ability to tackle ambiguous problems and shape them into clear product solutions.
- Experience building interactive educational tools or learning products.
- Strong product engineering instincts and a high bar for UX quality.
- Experience with AI-powered applications or LLM-based systems.
