We are seeking a driven solutions leader with a product mindset to partner with public sector customers and ensure they achieve tangible value with GenAI. You will collaborate with government agencies, policymakers, and public institutions to establish a GenAI strategy and identify the highest value applications. You will then partner with their technical teams, subject matter experts, systems integrators, and implementation partners to move from prototype through production, designing an architecture using the OpenAI API and other services to maximize customer value. This role involves deeply embedding with sophisticated public sector customers as the technical lead, serving as their technical thought partner to ideate and build novel applications on our API and other OpenAI foundational technologies like Codex.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead and thought partner for sophisticated public sector customers, ideating and building novel applications.
- Collaborate with senior customer stakeholders to identify GenAI applications and build a backlog for their AI roadmap.
- Accelerate customer time to value through building hands-on prototypes and providing strategic guidance.
- Manage relationships with customers and implementation partners for successful application deployment and scaling.
- Contribute to open-source developer and enterprise resources.
- Share knowledge, codify best practices, and publish notebooks to scale the Deployment Engineering function.
- Deliver high-signal feedback to Product, Engineering, and Research teams.
Requirements
- Hold an active TS/SCI clearance.
- 7+ years of technical consulting experience with public sector customers (U.S. federal preferred).
- Successfully led GenAI or traditional ML implementations for government agencies.
- Understand network and cloud architecture, including on-premise deployments.
- Effective communicator capable of translating business and technical topics to all audiences.
- Industry experience in programming languages like Python, Go, or Typescript.
- Ability to own problems end-to-end and acquire necessary knowledge.
- Humble attitude, eagerness to help colleagues, and drive to ensure team success.
- High throughput operator capable of managing multiple concurrent projects and prioritizing effectively.
