About the job

We are seeking an Applied AI Engineer to collaborate with strategic partners in designing, building, validating, launching, and operating agent enablement integrations. This hands-on, partner-facing role involves contributing to the platform, leading technical engagements, and translating complex requirements into secure, production-ready solutions. You will work across various internal teams and external partners to identify high-value user journeys, prototype architectures, write code, conduct evaluations, and support post-launch iterations. The ideal candidate is a product-minded engineer who excels in full-stack development, authentication systems, and clear communication, aiming to deliver low-friction, trustworthy agent experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical partner journey for agent enablement integrations from selection to ongoing maintenance.
  • Guide partners in choosing and implementing the right integration paths for secure and user-friendly agent experiences.
  • Develop production code, reference implementations, and technical guidance for partners.
  • Debug identity and agent workflows across various system components.
  • Review partner architectures and implementation plans for security, privacy, and maintainability.
  • Conduct evaluations and launch readiness reviews, translating findings into actionable improvements.
  • Contribute to the improvement of ChatGPT, Codex, and the Agent Enablement platform.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth, safe, and repeatable partner launches.
  • Channel partner feedback into platform requirements, reference architectures, and developer guidance.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of professional software engineering or AI engineering experience.
  • Strong technical skills for platform contribution and hands-on coding.
  • Experience in customer or partner-facing roles, including project scoping and solution design.
  • Experience building and operating production full-stack products, APIs, or backend services.
  • Strong understanding of how plugins and connectors work with coding agents.
  • Ability to work effectively with external engineers, product leaders, and executives.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and rapidly changing conditions.
  • Ability to balance urgency with judgment and maintain precision in complex launches.
  • High-level understanding of the identity stack, including OAuth.
  • Experience designing or operating APIs, webhooks, schemas, SDKs, CLIs, or MCP servers.

Benefits

  • Relocation assistance to new employees.
