About the job

As an Analytics Engineer in Safety Systems, you will be instrumental in fostering a data-driven culture, improving decision-making, and spearheading strategic initiatives through advanced analytics. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Research, and Data Science teams to develop and maintain essential data sources and authoritative dashboards. These resources will empower both individuals and AI agents across the organization to gain reliable, actionable insights. Your primary responsibility will be managing the consumption layer for safety metrics, establishing clear and dependable methods for stakeholders in Safety Systems, partner teams, and leadership to assess product safety, independently address safety-related inquiries, and inform product development and company strategy. You will be a key contributor to the Safety Systems team, working with researchers and engineers to advance the mission of creating safe, robust, and trustworthy AI.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain canonical datasets that serve as sources of truth for safety metrics.
  • Develop and refine data products like dashboards, reports, agent-enabled workflows, and machine-readable interfaces for independent data extraction and analysis.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Research, and Data Science stakeholders to understand decision-making needs and design intuitive consumption methods for complex safety metrics.
  • Ensure analytics and visualizations are accurate, user-friendly, and incorporate user experience principles.
  • Advocate for data quality, consistency, and reliability across all analytics products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant data role within dynamic, outcome-driven organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently own and drive high-impact business problems from structuring analysis to executing recommendations.
  • Highly autonomous and resourceful, with a track record of overcoming data, stakeholder, and operational blockers.
  • Highly skilled in SQL, with extensive experience in large dataset extraction and ETL workflow design.
  • Experienced in using business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Looker for insight communication and self-serve enablement.
  • Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse teams including researchers, engineers, data scientists, and executives.
  • Best-in-class attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy.
  • Proven track record of delivering significant business impact, preferably in Finance, Sales, Support, or other GTM domains.
  • Experience using or building agentic data tools, LLM-powered analytics, or other AI-assisted data workflows.
  • Familiarity with advanced custom visualizations, such as Streamlit and Plotly Dash.
  • Demonstrated prior experience in NLP, large language models, or generative AI.
  • Experience building data products used by a broad range of stakeholders.
