About the job

The Enablement Lead (AI Deployment Manager) is a specialist post-sales technical enablement role focused on delivering high-impact enablement and adoption services across OpenAI’s product suite. You will design and deliver technical learning experiences covering OpenAI APIs, Codex, agents, evaluations, and related platform capabilities, working with engineers, AI and platform teams, administrators, security stakeholders, product leaders, and executive sponsors. This role blends deep technical fluency, instructional design, and customer advisory, leading live trainings, workshops, and adoption interventions for audiences ranging from hands-on builders to executive leaders. Success means accelerating customer confidence, increasing product adoption, helping customers progress toward production use, and turning lessons from individual engagements into resources and practices that benefit many customers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical enablement of OpenAI products, including APIs, Codex, Agents, and Evaluations, defining effective enablement patterns for adoption.
  • Lead customer training and enablement across the full customer lifecycle, from onboarding to long-term adoption.
  • Design and deliver high-impact training engagements, including onboarding, advanced capability trainings, executive briefings, hackathons, and workshops.
  • Drive customer activation, sustained usage, and measurable business value through structured enablement and deployment programs.
  • Partner with Sales, Solutions Architecture, and Product teams to define tailored enablement plans for each customer.
  • Develop and refine reusable training assets, playbooks, and best practices based on customer patterns.
  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback from engagements to inform product and program improvements.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designated product areas, supporting internal enablement and informing product development.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in customer-facing or instructional roles, engaging C-level and senior technical audiences in complex enterprise environments.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, particularly conveying technical concepts to senior and executive audiences.
  • Strong technical depth across software engineering, SDLC, and APIs, with practical understanding of AI system production deployment, RAG, evaluation strategies, and agentic systems.
  • Proven experience leading structured technical trainings (e.g., API bootcamps, workshops) with the ability to design learning journeys and handle live questions.
  • Strong ability to connect technical features to concrete business outcomes (productivity, efficiency, cost reduction, etc.).
  • Humble attitude, eagerness to help others, and a desire to acquire missing knowledge.
  • Comfortable thinking on their feet in live customer settings, adapting quickly to new information and shifting priorities.
  • Personally committed to fostering the safe and ethical evolution of AI.

Benefits

  • Hybrid work model (3 days in office per week)
  • Relocation assistance for new employees
