About the job
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help drive the automation, design, and operation of the Linux platform that powers the physical Linux client experience all the way up to our large scale AI agent compute platform. You will support Linux environments across physical systems, virtual machines, and public cloud infrastructure while improving their scalability, reliability, and security. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys automating infrastructure, solving challenging Linux problems, and building secure and reliable platforms for next-generation agentic services!
Responsibilities
- Lead Linux and cloud infrastructure initiatives, including architecture, provisioning, configuration, deployment, and ongoing operations.
- Build automation using shell scripting, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Develop and maintain automated workflows for Linux provisioning, patching, configuration, security hardening, and lifecycle management.
- Deploy and operate cloud infrastructure and integrate cloud services with on-premises environments.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver infrastructure capabilities that support business outcomes.
- Continuously improve the reliability, security, maintainability, and operational standards of the platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Linux systems, infrastructure, platform, site reliability, or cloud engineering.
- Deep hands-on experience administering, securing, and optimizing Linux environments.
- Proven cloud architecture and engineering experience in AWS or Azure.
- Strong shell scripting and automation skills, including experience with a configuration management platform such as Chef or Ansible.
- Experience using Terraform to provision infrastructure.
- Experience with AI-native development and coding agents to multiply developer productivity.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
