NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and define the company's JAX strategy. This role involves coordinating multiple teams and workstreams to ensure JAX delivers peak performance across NVIDIA's evolving datacenter infrastructure, which includes GPUs, CPUs, and LPUs. The position is critical for ensuring JAX is ready on next-generation architectures and supports emerging AI needs across training, post-training, inference, and robotics, bridging new hardware capabilities with AI trends.
Responsibilities
- Drive the engineering contribution strategy across the JAX ecosystem stack, prioritizing NVIDIA's impact on performance, adoption, and ecosystem influence.
- Promote cross-organizational teamwork to shape NVIDIA's AI platform, including compiler, runtime, networking, and hardware.
- Build partnerships with key open-source projects, particularly Google's JAX team, to shape project direction.
- Design processes and define success criteria to align teams with outcomes.
- Develop staffing plans, review team capacity, and make strategic hiring decisions.
- Lead, grow, and mentor a high-performing engineering organization, fostering innovation and development.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of overall software engineering experience.
- 4+ years in engineering management or technical leadership.
- Strong technical background in system software, compilers, high-performance computing, or AI frameworks.
- Proven experience leading domain-level strategy and cross-organizational projects.
- Track record of owning outcomes across multiple projects and teams, balancing trade-offs.
- Experience identifying development cycle gaps and defining workflows to improve efficiency.
