NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Manager to build and lead a new AI Safety and Security Engineering team. This role involves hiring and guiding engineers across harness, platform engineering, security research, and evaluation, ensuring they work collaboratively at a sustainable pace. The manager will own the delivery of the Find, Validate, and Patch roadmap, emphasizing transparency in trade-offs and clear communication of progress. The team's focus is on building and evaluating AI-powered tooling to identify, validate, and patch software vulnerabilities, contributing to American AI leadership and cybersecurity through open-weight models and scientific scrutiny.
Responsibilities
- Hire, coach, and grow the founding engineering team for AI Safety and Security.
- Lead the engineering roadmap for finding, validating, and patching software vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with leadership in evaluation, security, and platform engineering.
- Communicate engineering status clearly and honestly across NVIDIA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 12+ years in software engineering.
- 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
- Experience guiding teams that build complex systems like distributed infrastructure, ML platforms, or security tooling.
- Ability to weigh architecture and evaluation trade-offs in ML or systems software.
- Demonstrated steadiness in managing a young, evolving program.
