NVIDIA is seeking software engineers for its Deep Learning Frameworks Sustaining Engineering team. This role involves working directly with deep learning framework developers to integrate with open source codebases, contributing to software that powers breakthroughs in areas like image classification, speech recognition, and natural language processing. The team's work enables advancements used globally, making this a significant opportunity to impact the field of deep learning.
Responsibilities
- Back-port changes from mainline branches to enterprise products.
- Track and integrate open source dependency changes, ensuring the use of the latest stable dependencies.
- Contribute changes to support timely Long Term Support releases for TensorFlow, PyTorch, and TensorRT.
- Fix customer-reported bugs and integrate bug fixes from mainline branches.
- Collaborate with other teams to patch open source dependencies for security vulnerabilities.
- Address the needs of NVIDIA AI Enterprise business subscribers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Math, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant software development experience.
- Excellent C/C++ programming and software design skills, including debugging and open source integration.
- Experience with build tools (Make, Docker, Bazel), packaging systems (Debian, pip, npm), and build systems (Gitlab, CI/Jenkins).
- Prior experience with machine learning algorithms and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or MXNet.
- Ability to work independently, contribute to release stability, and communicate status effectively.
- Python experience is also helpful.
