About the job

Our KnowledgeOps team is responsible for the information architecture and quality standards for Omniverse, Isaac Sim, and OpenUSD documentation. This role involves building the automation, pipelines, and AI-ready infrastructure to apply these standards at scale. You will collaborate with documentation leads to refine the architecture based on your learnings and work with AI agents that increasingly sit between developers, partners, internal teams, and our documentation. The ideal candidate is a writer who also builds, comfortable with tools like Git, CI, and Python, and fluent with LLMs in daily work. The goal is to transform documentation, standards, and tribal knowledge into tooling, templates, and self-service paths, reducing the need for repetitive questions.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with documentation leads on knowledge architecture, providing feedback on implementation to refine content models, information architecture, and AI-readiness patterns.
  • Build and manage docs-as-code pipelines, including Git authoring, CI/CD builds, linting, and validation of links and code samples.
  • Prepare knowledge content to be AI-ready by structuring and packaging it for RAG, internal assistants, and agentic workflows.
  • Automate the content lifecycle using LLMs and scripting for drafting, updating, auditing, and ensuring accuracy and freshness.
  • Encode standards into templates, validators, and guided workflows to replace static documents.
  • Capture and transform tribal knowledge from engineering, product, and operations into practical playbooks and self-service paths.
  • Measure outcomes like time-to-first-success and support deflection to inform development priorities.
  • Partner with various teams to ensure all releases are well-documented, discoverable, and supportable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 8+ years in technical writing, developer documentation, or developer experience for complex software platforms.
  • Hands-on docs-as-code experience with Git, pull request review, Markdown/RST, static site generators, and CI/CD.
  • Working proficiency in Python or a similar language for content automation, data transformation, and API integration.
  • Practical experience applying LLMs to content workflows, including prompting, retrieval, grounding, and output evaluation.
  • Information architecture skills, including content modeling, taxonomy, and metadata for navigation and machine retrieval.
  • Sufficient technical depth to read code and APIs, verify accuracy, and write working examples.
  • A systems mindset focused on fixing classes of problems.
  • A collaborative style that translates design intent into working systems and provides constructive feedback.
