NVIDIA is seeking a Senior AI Compute Engineer to join its Infrastructure Specialists team. This role involves working with academic, commercial, and government groups globally to revolutionize deep learning and data analytics, and to power data centers. You will be part of a team building some of the world's largest and fastest AI Compute systems. The position requires strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers, partners, and internal teams to analyze, define, and implement large-scale AI Compute projects, encompassing networking, system design, automation, and validation.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and validate AI Compute/HPC infrastructure in Linux-based environments for customers.
- Serve as a domain expert for customers during planning and implementation phases.
- Provide handover documentation and knowledge transfer for customer system rollouts.
- Offer feedback to internal teams by opening bugs, documenting workarounds, and suggesting improvements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in in-depth support and deployment services for hardware and software products.
- Proficiency in Linux system administration, including process management, package management, task scheduling, kernel management, boot procedures/troubleshooting, performance reporting/optimization/logging, and network routing/advanced networking.
- Experience with cluster management and provisioning technologies for bare-metal servers (BCM experience is a plus).
- A four-year degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Scripting proficiency in Bash, Python, and Ansible.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Experience with schedulers such as SLURM, LSF, or UGE.
- Ability to travel to customer sites within the United States up to 20%.
- Experience with benchmarking tools like HPL, NCCL tests, and MLPerf.
- Kubernetes experience.
