NVIDIA is seeking an outstanding individual to join our platform SWQA team as a Platform Software Validation Engineer (SDET). This role involves developing and executing test plans for NVIDIA HGX/DGX/MGX platforms, covering servers, OS, firmware, and CUDA software stacks. You will be responsible for installing and testing various systems, OS, server firmware, and software stacks, and driving root cause analysis for reliability and validation test failures. The position requires building and developing server and OS level automation frameworks and tests, reviewing partner and supplier test results, and managing the bug lifecycle within an agile development team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute NVIDIA HGX/DGX/MGX platform test plans on servers, OS, firmware, and CUDA software stack.
- Install and test various systems OS, server firmware, and software stacks.
- Drive root cause analysis for reliability and validation test failures to identify root causes and achieve mitigation.
- Build, develop, and debug server and OS level automation front-end and back-end frameworks and tests.
- Review partner and supplier test results and prescribe additional reliability testing.
- Manage bug lifecycle and collaborate with inter-groups to drive for solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in a STEM field.
- 5+ years of proven experience or a Master's degree.
- Proven experience in OS and server level automation, CI/CD processes, and DevOps using Python, SHELL, Ansible, Jenkins, C/C++, Java, JavaScript.
- Strong server and Linux troubleshooting and debugging experience in bare-metal and virtualized environments (KVM/VMWare/Hyper-V).
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience in model testing, AI tools/frameworks (TensorFlow, Pytorch), NLP, and LLM benchmarking.
- Experience using AI development tools for test plan creation, test case development, and test case automation.
- Strong experience in FW, BMC/OpenBMC, Network protocol, enterprise storage devices, PCIe buses and devices, IO sub-devices, CPU and memory, ACPI, UEFI spec, Redfish is a huge plus.
- Proven experience in GitHub/Gitlab/Gerrit, PXE, SLURM, Stack/Kubernetes/Docker is a huge plus.
