As a Developer Platform engineer at Notion, you will contribute to the foundational elements that make Notion extensible and connected. You will build tools, APIs, and platform experiences enabling customers to integrate Notion with their external applications, data, and workflows. Your work will empower developers, admins, and builders to create reliable integrations and automations, making it easier to bring their apps and data into the Notion workspace. You will be a key player in establishing the robust technical foundation for Notion's connected workspace vision, contributing to both internal platform improvements and end-user-facing functionality. This role involves tackling complex technical challenges to ensure the long-term quality, reliability, and performance of Notion's platform as it scales.
Responsibilities
- Define product strategy and drive execution through conception, research, implementation, and maintenance in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Evolve Developer Platform capabilities, including APIs, MCP tools, and integration infrastructure, to enable customer workflow automation, Notion customization, and tool/data integration.
- Contribute to the overall performance, reliability, and robustness of the Notion product, ensuring it scales effectively.
- Identify and execute high-leverage technical investments to ensure the long-term flexibility and sustainability of core systems in partnership with engineering leaders.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience shipping production software with a track record of end-to-end feature ownership.
- Fluency with TypeScript across both backend and frontend development.
- Strong product instincts, capable of translating vague problems into solid technical approaches and knowing when to scope down.
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to adopt AI tools to enhance work efficiency and results.
