We are seeking an AI and data architect to design and deliver AI applications that run directly on client data within Snowflake, utilizing Snowflake Cortex. The ideal candidate understands that a strong data foundation and governance are crucial for effective AI models. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development of Cortex-powered applications, from initial architectural design to production deployment, collaborating with clients and engineers to translate abstract concepts into usable systems.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build AI applications on Snowflake using Cortex AI functions, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, Cortex Agents, and Snowflake Intelligence.
- Shape data pipelines, semantic models, and unstructured data processing (including Document AI) to ensure trustworthy AI outputs.
- Develop full-stack solutions using Python, SQL, Snowpark, and Streamlit, integrating with external APIs, applications, and LLM providers.
- Design applications for scale and security, implementing role-based access control, data masking, and governance.
- Manage cost and performance by tuning warehouses, models, and queries, and ensuring predictable consumption-based costs.
- Lead client conversations through architecture sessions, demos, and workshops, guiding clients on the right approaches and trade-offs.
Requirements
- Experience designing and implementing AI applications on Snowflake using Cortex AI functions, Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, Cortex Agents, and Snowflake Intelligence.
- Proficiency in shaping data pipelines, semantic models, and unstructured data processing.
- Experience with full-stack development using Python, SQL, Snowpark, and Streamlit.
- Ability to integrate with external APIs, applications, and LLM providers.
- Knowledge of designing for scale and security, including role-based access control, data masking, and governance.
- Experience in managing cost and performance through tuning and optimization.
- Strong client-facing skills for leading architecture sessions, demos, and workshops.
