About the job

Nabla is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join their Ambient Speech team. This role will own the product strategy and execution for the voice intelligence layer, which is fundamental to the clinician experience by determining how Nabla hears, understands, and processes audio into useful documentation and actions. You will work within a cross-functional squad alongside ML engineers, software engineers, designers, data scientists, and clinical experts to transform complex speech and audio capabilities into trusted products for clinicians. The company is backed by a $70M Series C funding round and is focused on building the next generation of clinical AI.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for ambient speech and voice intelligence capabilities.
  • Understand clinician usage of Nabla in patient encounters and identify how audio quality, latency, and accuracy impact trust.
  • Translate clinician needs and business priorities into product opportunities, requirements, and success metrics.
  • Partner with ML engineers to define improvements in speech recognition, diarization, voice activity detection, language detection, and real-time audio processing.
  • Make product trade-offs considering accuracy, latency, cost, reliability, and time to market.
  • Define and monitor product quality metrics linking technical speech performance to clinician outcomes.
  • Lead discovery efforts with clinicians and stakeholders to identify unmet needs.
  • Design experiments and launch plans to validate new capabilities while protecting core experience quality.
  • Collaborate with Design to create intuitive user experiences for speech technology.
  • Work with platform, infrastructure, privacy, security, and downstream product teams for reliable integration.
  • Build alignment across Product, Engineering, Clinical, Go-to-Market, and leadership teams.
  • Establish a feedback loop from production usage and customer feedback into the squad's roadmap.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical product management experience, preferably with technical or workflow-critical products.
  • Experience building products powered by machine learning models or working closely with ML teams.
  • Strong product judgment and ability to identify user problems, define strategy, and ship improvements.
  • Experience working closely with engineers and comfort discussing technical systems, data quality, experimentation, APIs, latency, reliability, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear user value, product requirements, and prioritization decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills, including defining success metrics, interpreting product data, and using evidence for decisions.
  • User-obsessed mindset and empathy for clinicians in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder alignment.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment with incomplete information and competing priorities.
  • Bonus: experience with voice AI, speech recognition, real-time systems, audio products, conversational AI, healthcare/clinical documentation, multilingual products, or B2B SaaS.
