Modal is building the next infrastructure layer for AI, enabling instant GPU access, sub-second container starts, and native storage for companies to serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale. Having recently raised a significant Series C, the company is experiencing rapid growth and is looking for a Growth Engineer to own the technical foundation of its marketing and developer-facing web surfaces. This role is crucial for enhancing how users discover, understand, and engage with Modal's platform.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Modal's marketing site, docs site, and technical web experiences as high-quality engineering systems.
- Build bespoke interactive projects with engineers, translating deep technical work into useful web experiences for developers and agents.
- Instrument all public-facing content, from marketing pages to agent-targeted documentation.
- Improve internal publishing flows to enable faster, quality content shipping while maintaining site integrity.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience building and shipping modern web applications end-to-end.
- Experience with agentic development flows where agents consume marketing content and docs.
- Ability to build polished, responsive web experiences with minimal detailed specification.
- Business-owner mindset with strong data intuition, considering conversion, activation, developer trust, launch speed, and measurement quality.
- Enthusiasm for developer-facing AI infrastructure and building credible web experiences for engineers.
- Ability to work in-person in the NYC office.
