Modal is building the next generation of AI infrastructure, enabling developers to easily serve low-latency inference, fine-tune models, and access production-ready sandboxes at scale. We are seeking a Developer Relations Engineer to create and distribute unique, educational, and practical technical content. This role is crucial as it often serves as the first touchpoint for many users, aiming to showcase Modal's capabilities and become a trusted resource for AI technology implementation.
Responsibilities
- Create and distribute technical content that educates developers on incorporating the latest AI advancements.
- Deliver demos and talks about Modal and related tools at developer events.
- Engage with the user community online (X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Slack) and at in-person events.
- Build relationships, integrations, and joint marketing initiatives with other developer-focused companies.
- Set and track objectives aligned with the Go-To-Market team's goals.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Enthusiasm for the AI developer community and helping developers adopt new technologies.
- Passion for teaching and excellent technical communication skills.
- Metrics-driven approach to prioritizing initiatives.
- Willingness to work in person in the NYC, SF, or Stockholm office.
- Ability to think creatively about compelling technical content (bonus).
- Existing developer following on social media (bonus).
