LlamaIndex is seeking a Developer Advocate to be the public face of LlamaParse, our agentic OCR and document parsing engine for AI applications. This role is for someone who excels in person and on camera, focusing on showcasing the product's capabilities through demos, social media engagement, and event participation. You will evangelize LlamaParse by demonstrating how it transforms complex documents into structured data for AI systems, sharing real-world experiences to encourage developer adoption. We value compelling communication and demo skills over years of experience, making this an open-level position.
Responsibilities
- Represent LlamaParse at conferences, meetups, hackathons, and workshops through speaking and live demos.
- Evangelize the product by showcasing its ability to handle messy real-world files and detailing its use in production.
- Maintain a highly active and visible presence on social media platforms like X, LinkedIn, and YouTube, posting demos and examples.
- Create technical content including video walkthroughs, livestreams, blog posts, and conference talks focused on LlamaParse and document ingestion.
- Develop compelling demos and example applications that prove the product's effectiveness on realistic documents.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams on LlamaParse launches to ensure content and demos drive adoption.
- Engage with the developer community to answer questions and relay feedback to the team.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to make technical products interesting on stage, on camera, and in person.
- Consistent social media presence with a track record of useful technical content for developers.
- Enthusiasm for events, including speaking, live demos, and travel, with an approachable and memorable in-person demeanor.
- Sufficient technical depth to build with LlamaParse and write working code in Python and/or TypeScript.
- Clear technical communication skills, capable of explaining document parsing and structured extraction to various technical levels.
- Working knowledge of the AI application landscape, including LLMs, RAG, OCR, and document pipelines.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area for a hybrid schedule.
- Willingness to travel for events.
