LiteLLM is seeking its first Developer Relations hire to foster the growth of its open-source AI gateway. This role is crucial for helping developers discover LiteLLM, understand its capabilities, and successfully deploy AI applications in production. You will be instrumental in building the developer journey, establishing how the company educates developers, engages with the community, supports product launches, and translates developer feedback into improved documentation, examples, and product decisions. This is a hands-on technical individual-contributor position where you will spend significant time building with LiteLLM and creating resources to empower other developers. You should be comfortable with coding, explaining technical concepts, and discussing developer challenges.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain runnable demos, sample applications, integrations, and reference architectures for LiteLLM use cases.
- Create technical guides, videos, workshops, and deep dives to explain complex capabilities.
- Engage directly with developers through GitHub, community channels, livestreams, meetups, and conferences.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams on launches to ensure strong examples, documentation, and technical narratives.
- Identify and address recurring developer questions and friction points by improving documentation, examples, and product feedback.
- Explore the AI developer ecosystem and build examples with relevant models, frameworks, and tools.
- Utilize developer feedback and adoption data to prioritize educational resources and community initiatives.
- Represent LiteLLM publicly through technical talks, workshops, videos, podcasts, and community conversations.
- Create high-quality tutorials, demos, sample applications, reference architectures, videos, and technical deep dives.
- Develop educational resources focused on problems developers are actively solving.
- Explain LiteLLM capabilities such as model routing, fallbacks, cost controls, observability, authentication, guardrails, MCP, and production deployment.
- Keep examples and technical content accurate as LiteLLM and the AI ecosystem evolve.
- Improve the user experience from learning about a capability to successfully implementing it.
- Build genuine relationships with developers using, evaluating, and contributing to LiteLLM.
- Participate in GitHub discussions, community channels, technical forums, and open-source conversations.
- Help developers overcome challenges and identify patterns for durable resources or product improvements.
- Support contributors and power users, creating opportunities for them to showcase their work.
- Represent LiteLLM at relevant conferences, meetups, workshops, livestreams, podcasts, and community events.
- Establish a structured feedback loop between the developer community and LiteLLM’s Product and Engineering teams.
- Identify recurring points of confusion, missing integrations, documentation gaps, and product friction.
- Reproduce technical issues and differentiate between documentation, usability, and product problems.
- Translate developer feedback into clear product recommendations, issues, examples, and documentation improvements.
- Contribute technical fixes within scope and partner with Engineering on larger product changes.
- Own the developer-facing execution for major product and open-source launches.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to understand product releases, target audiences, and significance.
- Produce necessary demos, sample code, tutorials, documentation, and technical explanations for new capabilities.
- Ensure launches demonstrate working implementations, not just feature announcements.
- Evaluate launches for their impact on developer understanding and adoption.
- Establish LiteLLM’s initial Developer Relations priorities and operating rhythm.

- Hands-on technical individual-contributor experience.
