Legora is seeking a Workplace Network Engineer to own and manage the company's network and connectivity infrastructure across all locations. This role is crucial for ensuring that every Legora site is fast, secure, and connected, maintaining the high standards expected by the company's clients. The engineer will set network standards and work with on-site teams for implementation, focusing on a secure, automated, and efficient network estate that mirrors the quality of Legora's AI-native workspace product.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the reference design for site network rollouts, including LAN, Wi-Fi, WAN/SD-WAN, segmentation, DNS/DHCP, and firewall policy.
- Manage the Meraki Dashboard for configuration, firmware lifecycle, licensing, inventory, alerting, and capacity planning across all sites.
- Operate the Tailscale zero-trust mesh, collaborating with Information Security on access policies.
- Proactively monitor connectivity, manage uptime, drive incident resolution, and perform root-cause analysis.
- Plan and manage network installations and upgrades for new and existing sites, including hardware staging and directing on-site teams and vendors.
- Manage relationships with ISP, circuit, and connectivity vendors, including contracts, SLAs, and escalations.
- Forecast network spend with the Finance department.
- Partner with IT Systems and Helpdesk teams for network escalations and maintain network documentation.
- Implement network as code using APIs, Pulumi, Terraform, or scripting.
Requirements
- 6+ years in network engineering or network-focused IT infrastructure, with experience owning a multi-site corporate network end-to-end.
- Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting networking for an Apple-heavy device fleet, including macOS networking nuances.
- Deep Cisco Meraki experience at multi-site scale, with the ability to design and reason about routing, segmentation, and RF.
- Vendor-agnostic command of network fundamentals, including L2/L3 boundaries, IP addressing/subnetting, BGP, SD-WAN failover, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, QoS, and firewall policy.
- Troubleshooting skills at the packet level (e.g., Wireshark).
- Experience defining network architecture across a multi-site organization (for Staff level, ~10+ years).
- Ability to set network standards and create blueprints for consistent site deployments.
- Experience with automation tools like Meraki API, Pulumi, or Terraform.
- Calm and methodical approach to incident management and root cause analysis.
- Program management skills, including owning timelines, vendors, and budgets, and delivering through others.
