As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will join an enabling team dedicated to enhancing developer productivity by improving platform reliability, performance, and scalability. You will work hands-on with infrastructure and backend systems to empower teams to ship code faster, safer, and smarter.
Responsibilities
- Operate and evolve the Kubernetes and CNCF-aligned platform, including cluster lifecycle, workload primitives, and autoscaling.
- Manage cloud operations end-to-end across Azure, AWS, and GCP, covering networking, IAM, secrets, capacity, and cost.
- Maintain and expand the regional processing architecture, focusing on independent Regions, data residency, and customer-selectable Region models.
- Drive infrastructure as code using Pulumi, establishing modules, guardrails, and review patterns.
- Enhance platform reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency through SLOs, observability, autoscaling, capacity planning, and incident response.
- Anchor the platform discipline in NYC and collaborate with SRE and Foundations teams across regions.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a backend engineer with strong infrastructure, observability, and monitoring knowledge.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes.
- Experience with Pulumi or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CDK or Terraform.
- Proven ability to proactively solve complex problems independently.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with evolving processes and unclear answers.
- Demonstrated ability to 'get stuff done' and contribute to company growth through hard work.
