Legora is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Benefits to lead the design and administration of benefits and leave of absence programs for its fast-scaling, globally distributed company. This hands-on role involves setting the global benefits strategy, working closely with regional teams to ensure local execution, and managing the end-to-end annual cycle of benefits programs. The ideal candidate will have experience building benefits functions from the ground up, balancing employee impact, competitiveness, and cost across various international markets.
Responsibilities
- Own global benefits and leave of absence strategy across the US and international markets.
- Partner with regional Total Rewards teams to execute benefits strategy locally.
- Lead the annual benefits cycle, including renewals, open enrollment, and new country launches.
- Manage relationships with brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators.
- Ensure compliance with benefits regulations in all operating markets.
- Own and administer the global leave of absence program.
- Manage the benefits budget, using data to inform plan design.
- Develop clear, localized employee communications for benefits programs.
- Partner with People Business Partners and Talent Acquisition on benefits integration.
- Build processes, documentation, and HRIS configurations for scalability.
- Support benefits due diligence and integration for acquisitions.
- Hire, manage, and develop a Benefits Analyst and future team members.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive benefits experience, including US and international landscapes.
- Deep US benefits expertise (health and welfare, 401(k), leave, compliance).
- Real international benefits experience, ideally in EMEA and/or APAC.
- Vendor and broker management experience, including RFPs and negotiations.
- Financial fluency for budget management and cost scenario modeling.
- Strong communication skills for translating complex benefits concepts.
- Experience partnering with regional HR/Total Rewards teams for global strategy execution.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Experience with modern HRIS platforms (e.g., HiBob) and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience managing or mentoring benefits analysts or coordinators.
