Legora is seeking an IT Automation Engineer to join their IT Platform & Automation team. This role will focus on building and running the company's identity, device, and SaaS systems, with a strong emphasis on automation. You will be responsible for owning and managing the Serval platform, identifying and implementing automation opportunities, and building workflows and integrations using automation platforms and AI agents. The position involves partnering with People Technology on HRIS integrations, developing AI-enabled services for employees, and ensuring the reliability and maintenance of automated processes. This role requires a practical approach to automation, comfort with various platforms and AI agents, and a careful attention to testing and technical logic.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation, configuration, and integrations of Serval, ensuring workflows are reliable and documented.
- Identify and deliver automation opportunities independently and in partnership with peers, assessing their value and managing their rollout and maintenance.
- Build workflows and integrations for onboarding/offboarding, access provisioning, SaaS administration, and data consistency using automation platforms and AI agents.
- Build and test integrations between HRIS and other business systems in collaboration with the People Technology team.
- Develop AI-enabled services to help employees find information and complete approved actions, including setting permissions and fallbacks.
- Plan and deliver changes by comparing approaches, explaining tradeoffs, and coordinating dependencies with system owners.
- Test workflows using automated checks to catch failures and regressions, verifying results in connected systems.
- Monitor workflow outcomes, fix recurring failures, and trace problems across systems using logs and API responses.
- Measure the results of automation efforts, tracking changes in manual effort, errors, and delays, and incorporating user feedback.
Requirements
- Practical experience in identifying automation opportunities and building workflows or integrations that are used by others.
- Ability to explain the impact and maintenance of automated solutions.
- Comfort translating requirements into instructions, configuring integrations, and adjusting workflows based on results.
- Proficiency in testing workflows and verifying their effects in connected systems, including using automated checks.
- Sound judgment regarding AI output, assessing accuracy, consistency, and usefulness, and knowing when to seek human review.
- Ability to follow technical logic, understand workflows, and how data moves through APIs.
- Experience in corporate IT, including working with identity, SaaS, or IT systems and understanding the impact of account and access changes.
- Comfort with ambiguity, planning work with unclear requirements, and coordinating dependencies.
- Accountability for a system's day-to-day operation, resolving problems, and assisting users.
