About the job

Anthropic is seeking an exceptional Legal Program Manager to serve as the operational backbone of contracting for the Compute and Infrastructure team. This role will manage a high volume of procurement and vendor agreements, including datacenter colocation, lease, and build-to-suit agreements; hardware, chip, and network-equipment procurement; and construction, facilities, and operations-and-maintenance (O&M) contracts. You will build scalable contracting processes, including templates, playbooks, intake and approval workflows, and contract lifecycle management, to support the company's infrastructure buildout. This position owns the system, throughput, and visibility for all agreements from intake through signature.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage a high volume of compute and infrastructure procurement transactions from intake through signature.
  • Administer the contract lifecycle management system, including workflow design, template management, approval routing, and archiving.
  • Design and manage intake and triage processes for contract requests, including prioritization and routing.
  • Develop and implement scalable solutions to improve contracting efficiency and throughput for infrastructure vendors.
  • Collaborate with business units and legal teams to streamline contract management, manage post-signature obligations, and identify risks.
  • Partner with Compute and Infrastructure, Product, Finance, Security, Business Operations, and Procurement Ops teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Build reporting, dashboards, SLAs, and metrics to track turnaround times and identify bottlenecks in vendor contracts.
  • Deploy LLM and AI tooling to scale contracting throughput and reduce manual handling.

Requirements

  • Experience operating in a fast-paced technology startup with rapidly shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated initiative and autonomy in managing complex contractual matters and competing deadlines.
  • Understanding of contract importance, organizational mission, and sufficient contract fluency to triage and route requests.
  • Ability to thrive as a member of cross-functional teams building frontier technologies.
  • Comfort operating outside areas of expertise and in uncharted legal territory.
  • A 'doer' mentality with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and contribute as a team player.
  • Hands-on experience with contract lifecycle management or legal-operations tooling, process design, and working with data and metrics.
  • Comfort using AI and LLM tools to streamline and scale routine contracting work.
