Langfuse is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to ensure the reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency of their open-source LLM engineering platform. This role is crucial for maintaining Langfuse Cloud on AWS ECS Fargate and ClickHouse Cloud, as well as supporting self-hosted deployments. The engineer will own the end-to-end observability stack, automate infrastructure processes, and scale the platform to meet growing demand. This is an opportunity to work closely with the ClickHouse team and directly impact a product used by major enterprises.
Responsibilities
- Own and operate Langfuse Cloud production environments on AWS ECS Fargate and ClickHouse Cloud, managing deployments, autoscaling, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
- Build and manage world-class observability using Datadog, including dashboards, alerts, and SLOs.
- Enhance and maintain self-hosted infrastructure, including Helm charts and Docker Compose configurations, to ensure effortless deployment for users.
- Automate infrastructure processes through CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automated scaling for zero-downtime deployments.
- Proactively scale infrastructure to anticipate future demand and support new product directions.
- Harden security and compliance for both cloud and self-hosted deployments to meet enterprise requirements.
Requirements
- Strong infrastructure or SRE engineering background with experience running and improving systems at scale.
- Experience operating production workloads on AWS (ECS/Fargate, networking, IAM, S3) or comparable cloud providers.
- Proficiency with container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes and/or ECS, and Helm charts, Docker.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
- Strong monitoring and observability skills, with a proven ability to build effective dashboards and alerts.
- Self-organized with strong opinions on reliability, automation, and safe infrastructure change management.
- Interest in open-source software and supporting users with self-hosted deployments.
- Ability to thrive in a small, accountable team environment where individual output is highly visible and impactful.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, Next.js, Express, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, S3, and Redis is beneficial.
