  • Build and manage world-class observability using Datadog, including dashboards, alerts, and SLOs.
  • Enhance and maintain self-hosted infrastructure, including Helm charts and Docker Compose configurations, to ensure effortless deployment for users.
  • Automate infrastructure processes through CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automated scaling for zero-downtime deployments.
  • Proactively scale infrastructure to anticipate future demand and support new product directions.
  • Harden security and compliance for both cloud and self-hosted deployments to meet enterprise requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong infrastructure or SRE engineering background with experience running and improving systems at scale.
  • Experience operating production workloads on AWS (ECS/Fargate, networking, IAM, S3) or comparable cloud providers.
  • Proficiency with container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes and/or ECS, and Helm charts, Docker.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
  • Strong monitoring and observability skills, with a proven ability to build effective dashboards and alerts.
  • Self-organized with strong opinions on reliability, automation, and safe infrastructure change management.
  • Interest in open-source software and supporting users with self-hosted deployments.
  • Ability to thrive in a small, accountable team environment where individual output is highly visible and impactful.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, Next.js, Express, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, S3, and Redis is beneficial.
