About the job
We are seeking a Product Manager to take ownership of key components of LangSmith, our platform for observability, evaluation, and deployment of AI systems. This role is crucial for enabling software teams to ship reliable AI systems. You will bridge the gap between user experience and production infrastructure, collaborating with engineers to develop intuitive features that address complex technical challenges such as versioning prompt chains, debugging agent failures, and designing scalable evaluation systems. You will engage directly with a diverse customer base, from startups to enterprises, to identify platform limitations and define new capabilities that unlock innovative workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for a core area of the LangSmith platform.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their challenges and define new product features.
- Partner with engineering to define scope, make technical tradeoffs, and ship high-impact features rapidly.
- Contribute to shaping product strategy with founders and leadership.
Requirements
- 3+ years of product management or engineering experience, preferably in developer tools, infrastructure products, or technical SaaS platforms.
- Strong technical understanding, capable of discussing API design, system architecture, data pipelines, and production issue debugging.
- A proactive approach, favoring shipping and iterating over perfecting solutions upfront.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to align cross-functional teams.
- Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical background (nice to have).
- Prior experience at a high-growth startup or developer-focused company (nice to have).
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs, agents, or AI applications (nice to have).
Benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Flexible vacation
- 401(k) plan
- Meals on in-office days (US)
- Competitive compensation including base salary, variable compensation, and meaningful equity
