LangChain is seeking a GTM Engineer to act as the "First Customer" for their tools, building AI-native systems to power technical support, onboarding, and customer success. This role involves owning the technical roadmap for user support, aiming to drive case deflection and enhance the onboarding experience by creating autonomous agents that resolve complex technical issues. The ideal candidate is a builder-operator who can identify customer journey friction points and implement production-grade agentic solutions.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy production-grade agents using LangGraph and LangSmith for technical support, integration troubleshooting, and complex onboarding.
- Analyze customer friction points and build self-service AI systems to reduce support volume and improve customer experience.
- Act as product owner and technical lead, proactively identifying improvement opportunities, proposing architectures, and managing the full lifecycle of built systems.
- Provide feedback to the product team by identifying gaps in frameworks while building complex customer systems, and contribute to the LangChain and LangGraph open-source ecosystem.
- Develop AI-native onboarding experiences to automate documentation retrieval and code generation, helping enterprise customers move from prototypes to production faster.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of the LLM stack, including prompting, retrieval (RAG), cognitive architectures, and agentic loops.
- Experience building with LangChain or LangGraph.
- Strong software engineering foundation with typically 3+ years of experience.
- At least 1 year of experience shipping LLM systems in production.
- Self-directed with a "founder" mentality, comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving high-impact problems autonomously.
- Full-stack capability with strong coding skills in Python or TypeScript (ideally both).
- Ability to build end-to-end applications.
- Customer-centric mindset, enjoying the intersection of high-level engineering and direct customer impact.
- Ability to translate customer technical pain points into scalable system architectures.
