LangChain is seeking a Deployed Engineer to join their Professional Services team. This role involves working directly with enterprise customers to build reliable, production-ready AI agents. You will translate complex enterprise workflows into detailed software specifications and guide customer engineering teams through the solution development, or build it yourself. Engagements can range from designing agent architectures and co-building evaluation pipelines to being embedded within a customer's team for an extended period to ship agent systems. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building and deploying real-world AI systems and can articulate technical trade-offs.
Responsibilities
- Advise on agent architecture design, evaluation strategy, and production best practices.
- Co-build agent solutions with customer engineering teams across the Agent Development Lifecycle (ADLC).
- Embed within customer teams to ship agent systems directly.
- Manage the end-to-end Agent Development Lifecycle, including architecture design, orchestration patterns, evaluations, conversational UIs, and production deployment.
- Apply AI techniques such as post-training, supervised fine-tuning, harness engineering, trace mining, and model selection/evaluation.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience with deep Python expertise.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building and shipping production agent systems.
- Strong client-facing communication skills and ability to articulate architectural decisions to technical stakeholders.
- Experience with LangChain/LangGraph/Deep Agents or comparable frameworks, including multi-agent patterns and state management.
- Deep familiarity with designing and implementing evaluation methodologies for non-deterministic AI systems.
- Comfortable operating across advisory and embedded delivery roles.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
